OPERATIONS
The Operations Department is the eye of the Chartering department and the focal point of all actions necessary to running the ships as Chartered. Essentially, the department is the main coordinator between the owners of the vessels and the charterers, and all third parties involved with the ships such as ship agents and shippers/receivers.
Among other things, the Operations Department is charged with providing service such as defense of claims and contractual disputes, to make sure that the ships perform as per the charterparty agreements, to ensure the safe and efficient carriage and delivery of the cargo and laytime calculations.
